“Calligraphy”

August 5th, 2009

April is starting to get into calligraphy. I always thought she had really pretty handwriting, so to add a calligraphy pen, I think it’s even better! She’s kind of shy about her pratice runs so I decided to make a post of her early calligraphy work! What do you think? Would you be interested in calligraphy for your invitations, placecards, and/or other paper goods?

Who: Lanie & Victor | What: Wedding Details

To maintain a consistent theme, we were also hired to do Lanie and Victor’s reception programs, name cards, and a name board.  This is what we came up with..

Who: Lanie and Victor | What: Wedding Invitations

July 23rd, 2009

We had the privilege of working with Lanie and Victor through my godsister, Jasmin.  We haven’t known them long, but you can tell right away that they’re a perfect compliment to each other.

They knew they wanted a traditional pocketfold invitation.  Their color combination of sage green and chocolate brown helped give it a more modern look which, personally, I LOVE.  They had a whopping 5 inserts that included: reception information, directions, wedding party, an rsvp postcard, and a gift registry card.

Please excuse the bad lighting in the pictures.

Who: Myla and Jeff | What: Destination Wedding Invitations

July 21st, 2009

hello. remember me? :)

lookie… i’m finally blogging.  i told ginet i will TRY to be more consistent with blogging, so here i go at my first attempt!  (i should get an “A” for effort for this.)

myla is my first cousin and the sister i never had.  we are close in age, so we were pretty much seen as twins to our family – we got the same presents, wore the same clothes, etc. when we were in middle school, i was devastasted when she had to move to japan because my uncle was in the navy.  after a few years in japan, they moved to puerto rico and that’s where this love story begins.

myla and jeff met since both their dads were stationed there.  since their parents were friends, they were actually forbidden to date each other.. but you can imagine how rebellious teenagers are.  although myla’s family didn’t stay in puerto rico (they moved to las vegas), myla and jeff maintained a long distance relationship for 7 YEARS.  (yes, you read that right.. 7 YEARS.)  in those 7 years, he moved to san francisco while she finished her nursing degree at UNLV and  once she graduated, she moved to san francisco where they’ve been since.  late last year, he proposed in a manner that is so fitting for themselves and they are getting married in los cabos, mexico on their 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY.. Oct 26, 2009.

i couldn’t be happier for them.  they have proven to everyone how far dedication and trust can get you.  they truly are the epitome of what commitment is all about.

i was honored when i was asked to design their destination wedding invitations.  they knew they wanted an invitation that looked like a boarding pass, so all i had to do was execute.
