A Sweet Adventure: A Color Scheme
There are still a lot of decor aspects I am very indecisive about (which tends to give way to irritation and frustration toward myself even though I still have a long way to go!) One thing I’m very proud of establishing is on a color scheme! Thanks to our paper goods supplier, I was able to come up with a scheme based on Envelopments’ stock colors:

The main colors will be black and ivory with gray and teal/turquoise accents. I added the patterned image because I will be using it on some of the event stationery. I basically got the designs for invitations and most of the event stationery down. I also decided on attire. My dress is ivory and Justin’s tux will be black with white shirt, black skinny tie, and white pocket square. The bridesmaids will wear gray dresses with matching teal shoes and accessories of their choice. The groomsmen will wear the same black tux as Justin, but with teal skinny ties and pocket squares.
Most other decor – linens, napkins, flowers, lighting, etc. – have yet to be determined. I have some kind of idea on bouquets, but I totally go back and forth with different centerpiece ideas. I keep telling myself to be patient and there’s plenty of time to make decisions on all the design and decor details, but I’m the type of person that likes to get things done and over with. Well, at least for things I actually care about. I have browsed through wedding blogs and websites since starting Simply Chic (okay okay, even before that) and have found plenty of inspirational images but not too many for my own wedding. We’re meeting with a couple floral designers next week so hopefully once we decide on that, I’ll get help finalizing the design dilemmas I’ve created in my head.
