For one reason or another, the 19th is a big day for a bunch of people I know. For myself, the 19th [of Sept] was the day I kissed my boyfriend for the first time. For my brother and his wife, the 19th [of Sept] was their wedding day. Then there were a couple more weddings for special people in my life that landed on the 19th.. Joyce and Atlee [July '08] and Jamie and Chris [April '09]. I can’t forget that the 19th [of Oct] was a happy day for my roomie as well.. it was the day she and her boyfriend officially started dating.
And now, for one of my best friends since high school aka Ginet of Simply Chic and Justin, the 19th is special to them because it is the day that they got engaged.
I was in Tahoe snowboarding with my boyfriend this past weekend when I got a text from Ginet that read, “Ahh! I’m engaged!” Ohhh, those 3 little words that EVERY girl wants to be able to say/text/write someday (if they haven’t already). I was ecstatic to read the news and I’m sure Ginet was moreso to give the news!!
Congratulations Ginet and Justin!!!! I cannot be any happier for the two of you!

Love and marriage, love and marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage
We’re adding a new section/topic to our blog entitled “Tips and Advice”. I think the first blog post under this topic is very fitting! I came across an article in this month’s issue of Real Simple. It’s titled “They’re Golden” about six couples, married 50 years or more, who share their secrets of staying happily married. It’s one of the sweetest articles I’ve ever read and just made my heart melt. One man knew as a toddler he was going to marry his wife when he first saw her as a baby!

Their secrets apply to all the newly engaged, married – either for a little or long while, or just simply committed couples. Hopefully this article will brighten your day as it did mine! =)

Like I’ve mentioned on our last post, we’re gathering professional photos from photographers. Jennifer and Ian’s photographer Richwell Correa was kind enough to send us some pictures of our work at the actual wedding. April attended but couldn’t get really good pictures so thank you Richwell! I just love how the invitations, programs, and table numbers look in these pictures, especially with the linens and centerpieces! The stationery was Chargers-themed and April did a really great job in keeping it very classy! They even put the monogram square that April designed for their invitations on their ice sculpture!

We’re gathering photos for the new portfolio section of our website from photographers. Lanie and Victor are one of our first clients and we wanted shots of our work from their wedding. We asked the wonderful Heidi from heidiophoto (coincidentally enough, the same photographer we worked with for Melvin and Maryrose’s wedding) for photos. We worked on Lanie and Victor’s invitations, place cards, reception program cards, and seating assignment board. It’s really nice to see how all the fine details come together! Thanks again Heidi for the photos!
More photos from other weddings and special events to come!
