As you might have noticed (unless we’re just in your RSS Feed), the website looks a little different. We’re currently working on revamping it and it will probably take a few months to get it to a place April and I are both satisfied with. We’ll just keep it a work in progress for a while. We’re also working on a few things to expand, but for the time being, I found this on bridepop.com for those of you to keep in mind who are going through or about to go through the wedding planning process:

Click on the images and if you click on it again, the image will enlarge.
It doesn’t price out the Wedding Planner/Coordinator, which I believe is an essential (not out of bias, I promise!). But I did find this from costofwedding.com (where bridepop.com got all the above info):

Hello all! We’ve been back from New Orleans for almost a week. The conference was an amazing experience and we’ll be attending hopefully every year! It was a great start for the new year as April and I are excited to expand our business and offer much more products and services to you!
We’ve signed up for a few online vendor directories, so please feel free to spread the word, rate us and/or write a review!

April and I are here in New Orleans. Before the conference starts on Monday, I wanted to make sure to write a blog post about a New Year’s Eve party my siblings and I threw. We’ve never thrown a party on New Year’s Eve party and we knew that most of our good friends wouldn’t be able to make it, but it was an overall success! My sister Marj and I prepared all the food and decorations. We bought hats and noisemakers from Party City. We wanted a mini bar of candy for giveaways so I got apothecary jars from Michael’s. Instead of mimosas made out of the standard orange juice, we served it with grapefruit juice. Everyone that had the grapefruit mimosa really liked it and kept wanting more! Everyone was having so much fun that we almost missed the countdown! My mom has her traditions and one in particular was banging pots and pans together after the countdown. Everyone cheered her on! It was pretty funny. Anyway, pictures are below. We at Simply Chic hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year’s! We also hope you are just as excited for this coming year as we are!

Happy 2010 everyone! We have a lot of exciting things coming up this new year. We’re headed to New Orleans on Friday for The Special Event 2010, an industry conference. I’ve mentioned it a few times in previous blogs so you can tell we’re super excited!
On another note, we made some holiday cards for our past and present clients. It’s a simple, yet chic, card (hence simply chic). I designed it really quick and with April’s input, we put it together and sent it out, not before taking pictures for the blog, of course.
The main font used has a sort of stamp-like feel to it, which I really like! The address labels included an image in the same font of the first letter of the last names of our married clients and the first initials of the first names of our soon-to-be married clients. We hope you like our holiday cards!
