San Diego Hotspots!

1) Wine Cabana in Old Town

My cousin Kim celebrated her birthday at Wine Cabana on Saturday.  She said her friend had her rehearsal dinner here and my sister now plans on having her birthday here too!  You can rent out space and the not-so-shabby fee goes toward the drinks! They only serve beer and wine (it is a wine place!) and don’t serve real food, but you can totally bring your own food! The people at Wine Cabana are pretty cool too! Very friendly and easy-going.

2) Urban Solace in North Park

My boyfriend and I ate here for lunch a few weeks ago and it was scrumptious! They have the best sweet potato fries with bleu cheese dressing (my mouth is watering as I type). Not only is the food really good, but I love the whole look and feel of the restaurant. Kinda has a New Orleans feel in the front. There’s also outdoor seating area – definitely a place to check out! If you do go for dinner, make sure you make reservations early!

3) True North Tavern in North Park

Is it me or is North Park the new downtown?! There are plenty of other hotspots in North Park to check out, but I went to this place two weekends in a row. The music is really good and they always have a good movie playing in the many tvs they have around the bar. There’s also plenty of seating (always a plus when you wear heels and you’re dancing all night), but they get taken pretty quickly with so many people there! The bar is huge + lots of seating + pool tables + dance floor + small outdoor area with a bar = a really good time! Oh and the bathrooms have the fastest hand drier! Ok, maybe that’s just the dork in me thinking something is way cooler than it really is – but forreal, that’s pretty cool!

FYI: No one is paying me to blog about these places. Haha. These are just definitely cool places to hold an event, eat, drink and/or hang out!
