Who: ME! | What: Bday and Grad Party

My birthday and graduation party was a success!

The planning and coordinating of the event was super short notice (my bad on my part).  I knew I wanted to do something to celebrate both occasions (the big 2-5 and my graduation from my masters program at CSUN), but I didn’t want to place that burden on my parents who usually throw my parties.  So instead, Ginet and I planned it and all:

1) in less than 1 month notice

2) on a super tight budget

and of course, 3) to be simply chic’d as much as possible.

Once I found a venue to throw it at at an affordable price (thank you La Jolla Brewhouse!), getting invitations out were my first priority.  Once I figured out my design.. Ginet and I executed to it exactly how I hoped it would turn out.  Favors were next, and with the advice of my mom, I got bottles of $2 chuck from Trader Joes and added a label and a hat to match the occasion.  I think this turned out so much cuter than I imagined it would be, so yay!  My raffle tickets were the most time consuming to do, but I loved them!  Each ticket was individually stamped with numbers and cut so they were perforated.   I love being able to perforate stuff! Haha!

Anyway, I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Thank you to all who came and for all the bday wishes! I love my family and friends!
