I will be attending with our “clients”, Karen and Christian, this Sunday. It should be a lot of fun and I’ll make sure I go on an empty stomach! I promise to post a recap sooner than later.

Wedding Show Recap

October 21st, 2008

The wedding show that Ginet and I went to last weekend was AWESOME! For $10, there was pretty much free food galore! It was very educational too..  SOOOO much wedding “stuff” to think about!  It would be super exciting if we could eventually have our own booth at one of these things!  (But I think I’m getting way too ahead of myself! Haha!)

The best part (aside from the free food) was the photo booth setup and that we were able to take pictures!  FUN! :)   A photo booth is definitely something I’d spring for at my own wedding.

PS.  I leave Thursday for New Orleans to visit the bf for his bday. Yay!  Happy birthday bf!

Who: ME! | What: Bday and Grad Party

October 12th, 2008

My birthday and graduation party was a success!

The planning and coordinating of the event was super short notice (my bad on my part).  I knew I wanted to do something to celebrate both occasions (the big 2-5 and my graduation from my masters program at CSUN), but I didn’t want to place that burden on my parents who usually throw my parties.  So instead, Ginet and I planned it and all:

1) in less than 1 month notice

2) on a super tight budget

and of course, 3) to be simply chic’d as much as possible.

Once I found a venue to throw it at at an affordable price (thank you La Jolla Brewhouse!), getting invitations out were my first priority.  Once I figured out my design.. Ginet and I executed to it exactly how I hoped it would turn out.  Favors were next, and with the advice of my mom, I got bottles of $2 chuck from Trader Joes and added a label and a hat to match the occasion.  I think this turned out so much cuter than I imagined it would be, so yay!  My raffle tickets were the most time consuming to do, but I loved them!  Each ticket was individually stamped with numbers and cut so they were perforated.   I love being able to perforate stuff! Haha!

Anyway, I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Thank you to all who came and for all the bday wishes! I love my family and friends!
